My Tracking Process
First thing I did was check the tee times when they came out. Made a mental note of when he was playing so I could catch glimpses or at least check scores easily. Thursday rolls around, I pull up the leaderboard app on my phone pretty regularly. Saw he posted a 74. Not great, not terrible for Augusta, especially on day one. Kept him in the mix, sort of. Figured he’d need a solid second round.
Then came Friday. This was the day I was really watching the scores. Making the cut at Augusta is always a big deal. I kept refreshing the scores, checking where he was relative to the cut line. It became clear pretty quickly it wasn’t going his way. Saw the score climbing. Looked like he was having a rough time out there. Augusta can bite you quick, and it seemed like it got him this time.

- Round 2: Kept checking the app. Scores started going the wrong way. It was a struggle. Ended up seeing he shot 80.
The Outcome
So, yeah, that 74-80 meant he was at +10. Definitely missed the cut. No weekend golf for Bubba at the Masters this year. It happens, even to the best and past winners. Augusta National is just plain hard.
It was a bit of a letdown, honestly. I always enjoy watching him navigate that course over four days. His creativity can be something else. But this year, it was just two days.
