Alright, let’s talk about my daily grind in Honkai Star Rail. It’s become a bit of a ritual, you know? Gotta get those materials somehow, and figuring out a route that doesn’t drive me completely crazy took some trial and error.

My Usual Morning Grind
First thing I usually do after logging in, grabbing daily rewards and stuff, is check my Trailblaze Power. If it’s capped, I gotta burn it quick. Usually, that means hitting up whatever Cavern of Corrosion has the Relics I’m desperately needing at the moment. It’s always something, right? One character needs this set, another needs that one. It never ends.
So, I’ll run the Cavern maybe three or four times, whatever uses up most of the power. Get a bunch of junk relics, maybe one piece that looks okay but rolls terribly later. Standard stuff.
Hitting the Overworld Spots
After the main Trailblaze Power is spent, I move onto the overworld monster farming. This is the part that feels like a real chore sometimes, but character ascension materials don’t grow on trees, sadly. My route has kinda settled over time.
- I usually start in the Herta Space Station. Warp to the Base Zone and clear out those Antimatter Legion guys near the top teleport point. Quick and easy. Then maybe swing by the Storage Zone, grab the mobs there.
- Next, I’m off to Jarilo-VI. The Outlying Snow Plains has a decent loop near the Calyx. Then I might pop over to the Corridor of Fading Echoes, there are usually a few groups clustered there. Sometimes I hit the Robot Settlement if I need those specific automaton drops.
- Finally, the Xianzhou Luofu. This place is packed. I often start in Cloudford, hitting the Mara-Struck clusters. Then maybe Divination Commission or Artisanship Commission, depending on what specific enemy drops I’m lowest on. The enemies here feel a bit tougher, or maybe I’m just tired by this point.
I don’t kill every single enemy on the map, that would take forever. I focus on the spots where they’re grouped up nicely, lets me clear them out fast with AoE attacks. Efficiency is key when you’re doing this day after day.
Why This Way?
Honestly? It just feels like the most straightforward path for me. I tried focusing purely on one planet, but then I’d run out of specific materials fast. Hopping between them gives a better mix of common drops. Plus, breaking it up by location makes the repetition feel slightly less soul-crushing.

I also try to combine this with doing my daily mission objectives if they involve killing certain enemy types. Two birds, one stone, saves a bit of time.
It’s not glamorous work. It’s just clicking buttons, watching animations, and hoping the drops are decent. But hey, gotta power up those characters somehow. This routine gets me a steady trickle of materials without burning me out too quickly. Most days, anyway.
