He hung in there and fought as hard as he could, but O’Malley was in the zone that night. There was no stoppin’ him. The crowd was all up on their feet, clappin’ and shoutin’ like they’d seen a miracle. O’Malley sure put on a show, and that boy knows how to entertain.
But it wasn’t just O’Malley and Vera who gave the crowd a good show. There were some other fights that night that really got people talkin’. For example, Dustin Poirier and Benot Saint Denis, they had themselves a good ol’ scrap too. Both of ’em were fightin’ like they had something to prove. And let me tell ya, they earned them bonuses. They each walked away with $50,000. That’s a lot of money for a night’s work!
