Okay, so I’ve been playing a TON of Stardew Valley lately. It’s, like, my go-to chill-out game. And I decided I really wanted to complete the Community Center bundles as fast as possible this time. The fish tank bundle, though… always a pain. That Red Snapper was holding me up!

So, first thing I did was check the wiki, because, duh. It said Red Snappers are caught in the ocean, during Summer and Fall, and only when it’s raining. Okay, cool. Got it. Summer, rain, ocean… seemed simple enough.
I spent, like, three in-game days of Summer just fishing my heart out whenever it rained. Nothing. Just the usual sardines, anchovies, and the occasional piece of trash (ugh). I was getting seriously frustrated.
Then, I remembered something! The Traveling Cart! That lady sometimes has random stuff, and you never know what she’s gonna be selling. So, every Friday and Sunday, I made sure to visit her cart near the Secret Woods.
Still nothing for a while. I was starting to think my game was bugged or something.
Then, FINALLY, one rainy Fall day, I went to the beach, rod in hand, and… BAM! I caught a Red Snapper! I was so stoked! Seriously, I almost jumped out of my chair.

My Red Snapper Catching Steps
- Wait for Summer or Fall.
- Make sure it’s raining. You can use a Rain Totem if you really need to force it, but I just waited.
- Head to the ocean. The beach is where I went.
- Fish! Just keep casting your line. It might take a while.
- Check the Traveling Cart on Fridays and Sundays, just in case. You might get lucky!
It took some patience, but I finally got that darn fish. Now, onto the next bundle! Wish me luck!
