Okay, so I saw this thing all over the internet about Justin Thomas and his arm band. I got curious, so I decided to give it a try myself. I mean, if it works for a pro golfer, maybe it’ll help my sorry swing, right?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find something to use as an “arm band”. I don’t have any fancy golf training equipment, so you had to be Creative. I found something that looked about right.
The Experiment
- First Swings: I must say it did not felt akward at the beginning. I strapped on the thing, and it felt… weird. I took a few practice swings, trying to get a feel for it.
- Hitting Some Balls: It felt a bit restrictive. I chunked a few, skulled a few, and, to be honest, my swing felt worse, not better.
- Adjustments: I was trying to get my arms to stay more “connected,” but it just felt like I was fighting the band the whole time.
Figuring It Out (Sort Of)
So, after messing around for a while, it started to feel a little better. I wasn’t miraculously hitting the ball like Justin Thomas, but I did notice a few things:
- Keeping Connected: I think the main thing is that it does kind of force you to keep your arms from flying all over the place. It’s almost too much, though.
- Tempo: It felt really hard to swing fast with the band on. I guess that’s good for tempo, but it felt like I was losing a lot of power.
My Verdict
Honestly, I don’t know if this is some miracle cure for a bad golf swing. I definitely didn’t see any immediate improvement. It’s possible that with a lot more practice, it could help with some things, like keeping your arms more connected. But for a casual golfer like me? It’s probably more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe I’ll stick to watching Justin Thomas instead of trying to be him.
