Okay, so today I wanted to try my hand at predicting the Suns vs. Portland game. I’m no expert, but I figured it would be fun to put my thoughts down and see how I do. Here’s how the whole thing went down:

Getting Started
First, I pulled up both teams’ recent game stats. I mainly focused on their last five games to see how they’ve been performing lately. Wins, losses, that kind of stuff. I also checked out their season records, just to get a bigger picture of their overall performance.
Diving into the Details
Then, I started looking at individual player stats. You know, points per game, rebounds, assists – the usual suspects. I was particularly interested in any injuries or players who might be out, as that can obviously make a big difference.
- Points per game
- Rebounds.
- Assists.
Factoring in Head-to-Head
Next, I wanted to see how these two teams have fared against each other in the past. So I dug up their head-to-head records for the season. Sometimes, one team just has another team’s number, regardless of their overall records.
Considering Home-Court Advantage
I also made sure to note which team was playing at home. Home-court advantage is a real thing, so I factored that into my thinking. The crowd, the familiarity with the court – it can all play a role.
Making My Prediction
After all that, I took a deep breath and made my prediction. It’s not scientific by any means, but I tried to be as logical as possible, considering all the factors. Based on how they looked it will probably be a close one. I’m going with the suns.

Checking the Results (The Moment of Truth!)
Then, I wait the game, I checked the final score. It’s always interesting to see how close (or how far off!) I was. Win or lose, it’s a good learning experience.
So, that’s basically my process. It’s not perfect, but it’s a fun way to engage with the game and learn a little more about basketball along the way!
