Alright, so I finally got around to messing with this “start em, sit em” thing everyone’s been talking about. Honestly, I was kinda lost at first. I mean, I get the basic idea – you pick who you think is gonna do good in your fantasy football team, and you bench the guys who you think will suck. But figuring out how to actually do it? That took some work.

Figuring It Out
First, I logged in to my fantasy football account. Easy enough, right? Then, I stared at my roster. I had my usual guys, a couple of new draft picks, and some players I picked up on waivers during the season. I just sat there, looking at all their stats from the past weeks, trying to figure out who was hot and who was not.
My quarterback, Jackson? He’s been killing it the last few games, throwing touchdowns like it’s nothing. So, obviously, I started him. No-brainer there.
Then there was my running back, Miller. He had a monster game two weeks ago, but last week? Total dud. Barely got any points. It was hurting my head. I really pondered over this for, I don’t know, was it ten minutes? Maybe fifteen? Long time.
- Checked the injury reports.
- Looked at the matchups. Which defense is he playing against?
- Scrolled through some expert predictions online, just to see what other people were thinking.
Finally, I decided to bench Miller. It felt risky, but his recent performance, the bad matchup, and the fact that he was nursing a slight ankle sprain made made me do it. My gut feeling screamed, do it!
Making the Moves
After I got Miller out, I moved my backup running back, Johnson, into the starting lineup. He’s been consistently decent, so I figured he was a safer bet. Not spectacular, but I don’t expect him to completely * I went through the rest of my lineup, tweaking things here and there. I swapped out a wide receiver who had a tough matchup and put in a guy who’s been getting a lot of targets lately.

I double, triple, quadruple checked everything to make sure.
The Result (So Far)
It’s still early in the week, so I don’t know if my decisions will pay off. But I feel pretty good about them. At least, I feel better than I did before, when I was just blindly guessing. Now, I actually have a reason for each player I started and each one I benched. Let’s see if my team can pull out a win!
