Okay, so today I tried to get “Mantle Baseball” working. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a ride.

First, I downloaded the latest version. I just grabbed whatever looked newest – gotta live on the edge, right?
Then I tried to run it. Nope. Nothing. Just a blank screen staring back at me. Super frustrating.
So, I dug around in the files. I’m no expert, but I can usually poke around and figure things out. I found a config file and started messing with the settings. Resolution, windowed mode, you name it, I tweaked it.
Trying Different Things
- I changed the resolution a bunch of times.
- I switched between fullscreen and windowed mode.
- I even tried running it as an administrator.
Still nothing. Ugh.
Then, I remembered something about compatibility modes. So I right-clicked the executable, went to properties, and found the compatibility tab.

I checked the box to run it in compatibility mode for an older version, I picked some old version, and… Bam! It worked! I could see the menu and all the stuff in the game
Seriously, after all that messing around, it was a compatibility setting. Go figure.
Anyway, now, I can use it!
