Well, if ya ask me about how long WrestleMania 10 was, I can tell ya it was a good long while, more than enough to make yer feet sore just watchin’ it! Now, I ain’t no big-time wrestler, but I do remember that day. It was back on March 20, 1994, at Madison Square Garden in New York, a place where they sure love a good fight. A lot of folks showed up too—18,065, they say, all packed in there to watch a real spectacle.
Now, WrestleMania 10 was different from the ones before it. Back in them days, the show usually ran for about five to six hours, with all them matches and the pre-show stuff to get folks worked up. But that one, well, it didn’t go quite that long. I’d say it ran for about 3 to 4 hours, with plenty of time for everyone to get their fill of wrestling. Ain’t nobody gonna complain ’bout that, ’cause there was enough action to keep ya on the edge of yer seat.
What made this one special, though, was how it was put together. There was a real mix of matches, some exciting, others a bit more slow. The crowd, bless their hearts, was all hyped up from the get-go. You had folks cheerin’, hollerin’, and even some boos in the air, but that’s what makes a wrestling event so fun, don’t it?
There was this one match, a good ol’ ladder match between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon. That one sure stuck with me—those two men were up and down that ladder faster than a squirrel up a tree, fighting over the Intercontinental Championship. Ya could see the sweat pourin’ down their faces as they climbed higher and higher, and let me tell ya, it sure didn’t feel short. Took ‘em about 20 minutes to get through all that, and they made it feel like it could last forever! Each minute seemed to drag on but in the best possible way.
The main event that night was something too, with Bret Hart and Yokozuna takin’ center stage. Now, Bret was a crowd favorite, and they were all hoping he’d win back that title. The match was full of drama, and the tension was so thick, ya could almost cut it with a knife. When it was all said and done, Bret did what he had to do, and that left the crowd cheerin’ for the boy from Calgary.
But ya gotta remember, this wasn’t just a simple day of fights. WrestleMania 10 had a whole bunch of different matches. There were tag team bouts, some good ol’ brawls, and even a little mix of everything in between. All together, it made for a pretty good show. The whole thing had a real flow to it, like a good meal that don’t leave ya hungry by the time it’s done.
So how long was WrestleMania 10, ya ask? Well, it wasn’t as long as some of them newer ones, that’s for sure. It didn’t drag on for hours like a couple of them big ones we’ve seen in the last few years. But for that time, it was a solid few hours of non-stop action. I’d say 3 hours sounds ‘bout right. It wasn’t too much, and it wasn’t too little—it was just enough to leave ya feelin’ like ya’d seen somethin’ real special.
And let me tell ya, if you ever get a chance to watch the matches from WrestleMania 10 again, you might just find yourself sittin’ there for hours, like I did, watchin’ all them folks give their best, and thinkin’ to yourself, “That sure was a good show!”
So, while WrestleMania 10 may not have gone on for as long as the ones you see now, it was still a whole heap of fun and excitement. That’s what wrestling’s all about, ain’t it? Gettin’ folks together, bringin’ them a show that they’ll remember, and maybe even talk about for years to come.
