Okay, so I saw this thing blowing up online about Erik Bakich getting ejected, and I just had to dig in. You know, figure out what all the fuss was about.
Getting Started
First, I started by just watching the game highlights. I mean, where else do you start, right? Gotta see the action firsthand. But, honestly, the highlight reels only showed so much. They showed the ejection, sure, but not really what led up to it.
Digging Deeper
So, then I went to the message boards. Big mistake. Huge. It’s all just people yelling at each other, calling each other names. You know how it is. But, I did manage to piece together a few things. Apparently, there was some controversy over a call. Surprise, surprise. It seems, it was about arguing balls and strikes. That got people fired up.
Finding Some Clarity
- I found a few articles from sports news, they are relatively reliable .
- I checked out a post-game interview with the umpire, it was very telling.
- It seems Bakich was upset after an interference call.
Putting it All Together
From what I gathered, Bakich was pretty heated after that call.I can see how frustrated and he let the umpire know it. I guess he crossed the line, whatever that line is, and boom, he was tossed.
And, I think he was trying to fire up his team.
