Okay, so I wanted to dig into Christian McCaffrey’s college days. I mean, the guy’s a beast in the NFL, but I was curious about his time at Stanford. So, I started my little project.
First, I opened my browser. Gotta start somewhere, right? Then, I typed in “Christian McCaffrey college stats” into the search bar. Simple enough.
Digging Through the Data
The search results popped up, and I clicked on the Sports Reference site. It looked pretty reliable, and I usually trust them for this stuff. I found a massive table of his stats, year by year. Touchdowns, rushing yards, receiving yards – the whole shebang. It was a little overwhelming, to be honest.
- 2014 Season – Noticed he didn’t play a ton, kind of a learning year I guess.
- 2015 Season – Boom! Exploded onto the scene. This is what I was looking for. Crazy numbers.
- 2016 Season – Still great, a very solid year.
I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through all of that. I even grabbed a pen and paper and jotted down some of the most impressive numbers. It was really amazing to me the increase of yards.
I got what I * gave me a much better appreciation for how dominant he was even back then. It’s no wonder he’s so good now!
