Okay, so I finally figured out how to add companions to my Serenitea Pot in Genshin Impact, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey! I wanted to share my experience so you can avoid some of the head-scratching I went through.

Getting Started
First things first, I made sure I had the Serenitea Pot. You get this from Madame Ping in Liyue Harbor after completing a specific quest. If you don’t have it, go track that quest down!
Placing the Realm
Next, I went into my inventory, found the teapot, and “placed” it in the world. This is basically like summoning your own little pocket dimension. I entered the teapot – whoosh, new location!
Finding the Placement Option
Inside, I opened the placement menu. This is the same interface you use to decorate with furniture. The hand icon. I clicked it.
Companion Tab
I saw different tabs in the options. I quickly clicked the “Companion” tab, which is also a cute hand symbol.

Choosing Your Companions
Here’s where the magic happens! A list of all my characters popped up. I could see all the characters that I could have.I simply selected the characters I wanted hanging out in my teapot. It felt like picking players for a team, but for a tea party instead of a battle.
Placing Them Around
After choosing, I could place them just like furniture. I dragged them around, rotated them, and found the perfect spots for each character. It’s kinda fun deciding who gets to chill by the pond and who gets a prime spot near the mansion.
Interacting and Increasing Companionship EXP
Once they were placed, I could walk up to them and chat! It’s not deep conversation, but it’s cool to see them in a more relaxed setting. And the best part? Just having them there earns Companionship EXP over time. It’s a slow but steady way to level up that friendship.
That’s all! Really, I had a long journey to achieve it, but it’s well worth it. I hope you have fun with your companions in your tea pot!
