Okay, so I’ve been messing around with different putters lately, trying to find one that just feels right, you know? I stumbled upon this Spider EX Putter thing, and figured, why not give it a shot? So I ordered one online – the white one, because, why not stand out a little, right?

First thing I did when it arrived was take it out to my little putting mat in the living room. Gotta get a feel for it, right? The weight was… interesting. Heavier than my old putter, that’s for sure. I spent a good hour just rolling balls, getting used to the feel, the alignment lines, the whole deal.
Practice Makes Perfect(ish)
Next day, I headed to the actual golf course. No more living room carpet – real greens! I started on the practice green, naturally. Spent maybe another hour just working on short putts, then longer ones. It’s all about getting that consistent roll, isn’t it?
The alignment, with those lines on the putter head, it’s kinda cool. I felt like it helped me aim better, especially on those tricky little 6-footers. The heavier head, it seemed to make my stroke smoother, less jerky. My old putter, I felt like I was always fighting it. But some putts it makes me feel diffcult to control the distance.
- First Impression: Heavier than expected, but in a good way.
- Alignment: The lines really do seem to help.
- Feel: Smooth, consistent roll, most of the time.
- Distance Control: Took some getting used to, especially on longer putts.
Then,I began to play some holes! I’m not gonna lie, my putting wasn’t magically perfect. There were some good putts, for sure. I even sank a couple of long ones that I probably shouldn’t have. But there were also some misses, mostly because I was still getting used to the distance control. That heavier head, it takes some practice to really dial it in.
So, after a few days, I was still on the fence. Good putter? Yeah, probably. Perfect putter? Not sure yet. I decided to keep practicing. I spent more time on the practice green, just grooving that stroke, getting a better feel for the distance. And you know what? It’s starting to click.

I think I am getting it. I am making more short putts with much more confidence.
It’s a process, right? You don’t just pick up a new putter and suddenly become a putting god. But this Spider EX, it’s got potential. I’m gonna keep working with it, keep practicing, and see if I can really turn those “almost” putts into “in the hole” putts. Will keep you all updated!
