Okay, so, I’ve been playing this new game, “Wuthering Waves,” and it’s visually stunning. Naturally, I wanted to take some screenshots to capture those awesome moments. But I couldn’t find where they were saved on my computer! I spent a good chunk of time clicking through folders, and it was driving me crazy.
First, I launched the game and played for a bit. Took a few screenshots using the in-game function. Then I minimized the game and opened up my File Explorer. My initial guess was the “Pictures” folder, right? Nope, nothing there.
Next, I checked the game’s installation directory. I navigated to where I installed “Wuthering Waves” usually in the “Program Files” or “Program Files (x86)” folders, but still nothing. I was starting to get a little frustrated.
Then I remembered that some games save screenshots in a hidden folder. So, I went back to File Explorer and enabled the option to show hidden files and folders. To do this, I clicked on the “View” tab and then checked the box that says “Hidden items.”
After that, I started digging into the “AppData” folder, which is usually hidden. This is where many games and applications store user-specific data. To get there, I typed “%appdata%” into the File Explorer address bar and pressed “Enter.”
Then, I opened the “Local” folder, and then, because most of the game data is here, opened the “LocalLow” folder. I scrolled through a bunch of folders with names that didn’t mean anything to me, and finally, I found one that said “KuroGames.” Bingo!
Inside the “KuroGames” folder, there was another one called “Wuthering Waves”. Inside that, there was the “Saved” folder. And then I found it, a folder named “Screenshots.” There they were, all my beautiful screenshots!
So, here’s the breakdown of where I found them on my Windows PC:
- Opened the “AppData” folder (by typing “%appdata%” in the File Explorer address bar).
- Opened the “Local” folder.
- Opened the “LocalLow” folder.
- Opened the “KuroGames” folder.
- Opened the “Wuthering Waves” folder.
- Opened the “Saved” folder.
- Found the “Screenshots” folder.
It was a bit of a journey, but I finally figured it out. Hopefully, this helps someone else who’s pulling their hair out trying to find their “Wuthering Waves” screenshots!
