Okay, so, Saturday at the Myrtle Beach Classic, huh? Let me tell you, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. I’ve been following this tournament closely, you know, because I’m trying to get better at predicting these things and, well, it’s just fun.
First things first, I woke up early. I mean, really early. Like, the sun wasn’t even up yet. Why? Because I wanted to catch those early tee times. You see, the earlier groups sometimes give you a good idea of how the course is playing. So, I brewed some coffee, strong stuff, needed that to kickstart the day.
Then, I fired up my laptop. I usually have multiple tabs open: one for the live scores, another with the tournament’s official website, maybe one more with some golf news site. I like to have all the information right there.
Keeping Track
Now, here’s the tricky part. I started jotting down some notes. Who teed off when, what their scores were, how the weather looked. It was kinda messy at first, you know, just scribbling things down on a notepad. But then I thought, “Hey, I should probably organize this a bit better.”
- So, I opened up a spreadsheet. Yeah, I know, it sounds a bit nerdy, but trust me, it helps. I made columns for player names, tee times, scores, and any other notes I thought were important.
- As the day went on, I kept updating the spreadsheet. It was like a living document, constantly changing. Some players were crushing it, others were struggling. I wrote down some thoughts about who might make a move on the leaderboard.
- I made a few observations. The wind was definitely a factor. I noted which players seemed to handle it well and which ones were getting blown off course, literally. And the greens, man, they were fast! I saw a few guys three-putt, and I made a mental note of that.
By the end of the day, I had a pretty good picture of what happened on Saturday. I had my spreadsheet, I had my notes, and I had a better understanding of the tournament. It wasn’t just about the scores, it was about the story of the day, the little things that happened out there on the course.
Now, I can use all this information to make some, hopefully, educated guesses about what might happen on Sunday. It’s all part of the fun, right? And who knows, maybe I’ll even win my little office pool. Fingers crossed!
