Okay, so, I jumped into this “St. Patty Party Monopoly Go” thing today. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a ride. First off, I had to figure out what the heck it even was. Turns out, it’s some kind of event inside the Monopoly Go game, all themed around St. Patrick’s Day.
I started by, well, starting the game. I mean, duh. Once I was in, I looked around for anything that screamed “St. Patty’s!” and found this little banner talking about the party event. I clicked on it and got the basic rundown. Basically, you gotta roll the dice and collect these special event tokens.
So I rolled. And rolled. And rolled some more. It took a while to get the hang of where these tokens were hiding. Sometimes they were on Chance, sometimes on Community Chest, and sometimes just chilling on random properties. I definitely landed on Railroad more times than I could count, trying to snag those tokens.
After what felt like forever, I started to rack up a decent amount of these things. Then, I had to figure out what to do with them. I found this other section in the event tab where you could trade them in for prizes. There were dice rolls, cash, and some special St. Patrick’s Day-themed stuff.
My Token Strategy
- Focus: I went all in on getting dice rolls first. Figured I needed those to keep moving and collecting more tokens.
- Saving Up: Then I started saving up for the bigger prizes. There was this cute little leprechaun hat for your game piece that I really wanted.
- Playing Smart: I tried to be smart about when I played. I noticed more people were on during certain hours, so I played then to try and land on those Community Chest spaces more often when other people were playing, too.
I kept at it for a few hours. It was kinda grindy, to be honest. But I finally got that leprechaun hat! And a bunch of other goodies.
All in all, it was a fun little distraction. Would I do it again? Probably. It’s not every day you get to dress up your Monopoly guy in a silly green hat. I just wished the token collection part wasn’t so random. You know, I spent way too much time landing on spaces that didn’t have them.
Anyways, that was my day with the St. Patty Party Monopoly Go event. A whole lot of dice rolling, a bit of luck, and a new hat for my collection.
