Okay, so I saw this thing online about Rhea Ripley and her weight, and I got curious. I mean, she’s ripped, right? So I decided to try and see if I could follow a similar routine, just to see what it’s like.
Getting Started
First off, I had to figure out what she actually does. I spent a good chunk of time just looking up interviews and articles. Seems like she’s big on weight training, no surprise there. I found out she does a lot of compound exercises, you know, the ones that work multiple muscle groups at once.
The Workouts
So I started hitting the gym. My god. I started with things like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. I mean, I’ve done some weightlifting before, but nothing this intense. Let me tell you, it was rough at first. I was sore in places I didn’t even know I had muscles.
- Squats: Tried to focus on my form, going as low as I could. Felt it mostly in my legs and butt.
- Deadlifts: These were killer. My back was screaming after the first few sets.
- Bench Press: Not too bad, but I definitely had to start with a lighter weight than I thought I could handle.
Eating Like Rhea?
Then there’s the diet part. From what I gathered, she eats a lot of protein to help build and repair those muscles. Chicken, fish, protein shakes, the whole nine yards. I tried to copy that, but man, it’s a lot of chicken. I started to understand what she meant by eating like that day in and day out for a long period of time.
Keeping it up
I tried to stick with it for a few weeks. It was tough, not gonna lie. The workouts were exhausting, and the diet was… well, let’s just say I missed pizza. But I did start to see some changes. I felt stronger, for sure. My clothes started fitting a little differently too. That was a good thing!
I definitely pushed myself harder than I normally would. Rhea Ripley’s routine is no joke. It takes some serious dedication.
My Takeaway
Would I recommend this to everyone? Probably not. It’s intense. But it did give me a new appreciation for what these athletes put themselves through. And hey, I learned a few things about weightlifting and nutrition along the way. It’s not sustainable for me long-term, but it was a fun experiment while it lasted. Maybe I’ll just stick to my regular workout routine and leave the Rhea Ripley stuff to the pros.
