So, I was watching a game the other day, and this guy Gunnar Henderson steps up to the plate. Cool, cool, but what really caught my ear was his walk-up song. I was like, “What is that?” I just gotta know what this banger is, you know?
First things first, I pulled out my phone and tried to Shazam it right then and there, but no luck. Too much crowd noise, I guess. Bummer.
Look It Up
Next, I hit up Google. Typed in “Gunnar Henderson walk up song” and bam, there it was. It’s this track called “Overdue.” I was like, “Overdue, huh? Sounds kinda familiar.” Then I saw it was by Metro Boomin and features Travis Scott. I thought, “Yeah, that makes sense. It’s got that vibe.” I am a big fan of hip-hop music. This is why I feel familiar with the song, but cannot come up with the name in the first place.
Apparently, this song came out in 2018, which is a while back, I won’t lie. It’s part of an album called “NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES,” which, honestly, is a pretty sick name for an album, right?
Add it to My Playlist
- Find the song: I hopped on Spotify, searched for “Overdue” by Metro Boomin, and there it was, featuring Travis Scott.
- Add to playlist: I immediately added it to my “Workout” playlist. This track has some serious energy, perfect for getting pumped up.
- Explore the album: I also checked out the rest of the “NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES” album. I figured if “Overdue” is this good, the rest of the album must be fire too.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure figuring out Gunnar Henderson’s walk-up song. Now I’ve got a new track to bump to, and it all started with a baseball game. Funny how things work out, right?
