Man, I’ve been digging through my old stuff, and guess what I found? My dusty Pokemon card collection! And there’s this one card, a Dragonite, that got me thinking, “I wonder how much this bad boy is worth now?” So, I started poking around the internet to get an idea.
First, I needed to figure out exactly which Dragonite card I had. Turns out, there are a bunch of different ones! Mine was a bit worn, but I could still see it was a Dragonite ex from some older set. I tried to find similar-looking ones online and saw that this card could vary a lot in price depending on the condition.
Next, I learned about this thing called “TCGPlayer Market Price,” which is apparently what people use to value cards. It’s like an average of what the card’s been selling for recently. Sounds good, right?
Now, the fun part – checking the prices. I found some places that list card values. For my Dragonite ex, the prices were all over the place! Some were going for around 50 bucks, which was pretty cool. But then I saw some in “Near Mint” or “Mint” condition, and those were going for way more. One place even showed that if my card was in good condition, it would go for 64.55, and a “PSA 10” (which I guess is like, super perfect condition) could be worth hundreds, even over a thousand! Crazy, huh?
Here’s a little rundown of what I found:
- Dragonite ex (Standard): 52.34
- Dragonite ex (Near Mint/Mint): 64.55
- Dragonite ex (PSA 10): 1188.86
Sadly, my Dragonite card isn’t in the best shape, so it’s probably not worth a fortune. But it’s still neat to see how much these cards can be worth. It’s like a little treasure hunt, and who knows, maybe I’ll find some other gems in my collection!
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of Pokemon card values. It’s pretty wild how much these things can go for. Makes me wanna take better care of my cards from now on!
