Alright, so today I wanted to mess around with Furina in Genshin Impact. You know, the 5-star Hydro Sword character? Yeah, that one. I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to use her, and I think I’ve finally cracked the code. Or at least, I had a good run today and want to share how it went down.
First off, I started by summoning Furina’s Salon Solitaire. Those little sea creatures are the key. They do damage, and sure, they drain HP from the party, but we’ll get to that. After getting them out, I switched to Fischl and popped out Oz. That bird just adds to the chaos, you know? It’s a beautiful mess.
Then, because my party’s HP was getting all messed up, I brought in Barbara. Her skill is perfect for keeping a heal going in the background. Nothing fancy, just a simple heal over time to counteract the HP drain from Furina’s summons.
With heals sorted, I switched to Kaeya. My goal here was to just freeze everything. It worked like a charm! The enemies were frozen solid, and with Oz and those sea creatures still doing their thing, the damage was just pouring in.
I also spent some time looking into weapons for Furina. There’s this 5-star sword, Splendor of Tranquil Waters, that seems like it was made for her. It boosts Crit DMG, which is awesome, but honestly, even some of the 4-star and 3-star swords work fine if you don’t have the fancy stuff.
- Tried out different artifact sets, but it’s pretty clear that focusing on Elemental Skill DMG is the way to go with Furina.
- Experimented with team compositions, and I gotta say, the combo of Furina, Fischl, Barbara, and Kaeya felt really smooth.
- Realized that Furina is all about draining HP and then filling that Sub-DPS role from the back.
So, that’s my Furina experience for today. It was a blast figuring out how to make her work in my team. It’s not every day you get a character that’s so focused on messing with HP, but when it works, it really works. If you’ve got Furina, give this setup a try. And if you don’t, well, maybe this will convince you to wish for her next time she’s around!

Played around all day and this was by far the most fun and most effective strategy I have ever used, and I plan on doing more experimentation to get the best build for myself.
