So, the other day I was watching golf, and the name Lexi Thompson came up. I knew her, of course, a big name in women’s golf. But then the commentators started talking about her brothers, and I was like, “Wait, she has brothers who play golf, too?” That sent me down a little rabbit hole.
Digging into the Thompson Family
First, I did a quick search to confirm what I’d heard. Yep, Lexi Thompson does indeed have two older brothers, Nicholas and Curtis. And yes, they’re both professional golfers as well. I found some basic info about them – ages, when they turned pro, that kind of stuff.
Then I started looking into each brother’s career.
- Nicholas Thompson: It seems like he’s the most well-known of the brothers, after Lexi, of course. He’s been around for a while, playing on the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour. I saw he even won a PGA Tour event years ago.
- Curtis Thompson: He’s a bit younger than Nicholas. From what I gathered, he’s mostly been on the Korn Ferry Tour, trying to make it to the PGA Tour. It’s tough competition out there!
Following Their Journeys
I spent some time browsing through some recent tournament results. It looks like Curtis played in a Korn Ferry event not too long ago. Nicholas, it seems, hasn’t been as active on the main tours recently. I did find a few articles mentioning him caddying for Lexi at some point, which was cool to see. Family support!
This whole thing got me thinking about how tough it must be to compete at such a high level, especially when your sibling is a superstar like Lexi. There must be a lot of pressure. But it’s also probably great to have family members who understand the grind.
Keeping Up with the Thompsons
Honestly, I’m kind of invested in their stories now. I’m going to make an effort to follow Nicholas and Curtis a bit more closely, see how they’re doing in their careers. It’ll be interesting to see if they can make some big moves in the coming years. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see all three Thompsons playing in major tournaments together.
