Today, I tried to understand what’s going on with Jannik. I spent a lot of time today trying to make sense of it all. Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy.
First, I started by looking at some numbers: 7, 10, 16, 28. I noticed the differences between them are not the same each time. It’s like, the first jump is 3, then it’s 6, then 12. So, I figured there must be some kind of pattern, but it wasn’t super obvious.
Then, I moved on to something completely different, some character called “The Snake.” Sounds ominous, right? This snake, apparently, has a “poisonous bite” and some kind of “biblical allusion.” I tried to connect it to death, thinking maybe it represents that we all die eventually. It’s pretty deep stuff, to be honest.
Brain Chemicals
After that, I switched gears again and started reading about how our brains work. I learned that the “features of arousal and fear” are controlled by some part of our brain. And guess what? The adrenal medulla releases some chemicals when we’re scared or excited. I found a quiz and started memorizing some related flashcards. It was kind of intense.
Gender Roles
Next, I stumbled upon some stuff about men and women. You know, the usual “men are providers” and “women are homemakers.” It made me think about how these ideas are still around today and how they impact us. It also says women are emotional. Well, that’s a whole other can of worms.
Food and Numbers
Then, because why not, I started looking at food intake. I saw an example with 500 grams of carbs, 30 grams of protein, and 75 grams of fat. I wondered what happens to our bodies when we eat these things and how they get processed. I still don’t really know for sure.
Doing Good and Being Fair
Later, I read about something called “bioethics.” It’s all about doing good, not harming anyone, being fair, and being truthful. It sounded pretty important, especially in things like medicine or research. I jotted down the principles: non-maleficence, beneficence, justice, fidelity, and truth-telling. I can say, I definitely learned something new there.
The News
Then, I checked out The New York Times. They had some coverage of the coronavirus pandemic, and it talked about how the pandemic exposed racial and economic inequalities. I read the whole thing, and it was pretty eye-opening.
Money Stuff
Finally, I ended up reading something about the economy. It said that when prices fall, borrowing money gets cheaper, and people demand more stuff. It’s called the “interest rate effect.” I tried to wrap my head around it, but economics isn’t really my strong suit.
So, yeah, that was my day with Jannik. I jumped from numbers to snakes to brains to societal roles to food to ethics to the news to the economy. It was a wild ride, and I’m still not entirely sure what it all means. But hey, at least I learned a bunch of random stuff, right?
