Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this whole high school application thing for my boy, Cameron. He’s growing up fast, you know? Just a sophomore, but it feels like he was in kindergarten yesterday. Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess.
So, first thing I did was to look into the application process. They say the due date is December 10th. Better get on it early, right? No one wants to be scrambling at the last minute. I started by checking out some guides online, just to get a feel for what we’re up against. There are all sorts of videos and stuff out there. Pretty handy, I gotta say.
Exploring Schools
Next, I used this thing called a “High School Guided Search.” Sounds fancy, but it’s basically just a tool to help you find schools that might be a good fit. Typed in a few things about what Cameron’s into, and it spit out a bunch of options. It’s pretty overwhelming, to be honest. So many schools, so many choices. I started looking into the application process.
Cameron, he’s been into golf since he could walk, thanks to his old man. They’ve been out on the course together since he was a little tyke. It’s not just a hobby; it’s like a whole other language between them.
Narrowing it Down
After looking at a ton of schools, we started to narrow it down. We’re thinking about a few that have good golf programs. Gotta keep his options open, you know? Plus, a good education is important too. I checked that all the schools I picked up would accept applications from students of Cameron’s age.
Getting the Application Done
Then came the fun part: filling out the applications. It’s a lot of work, let me tell you. Essays, forms, recommendations, you name it. Cameron’s been working hard on his part, and I’ve been helping him where I can. We decided to use all the application attempts and send them to different schools. We made sure to meet all application deadlines.
The Waiting Game
Now, we’re just playing the waiting game. It’s nerve-wracking, not knowing where he’ll end up. But whatever happens, I’m proud of him. He’s a good kid, and he’s worked hard to get to this point. We are going to meet the admission committee at the schools we have applied to so that we can show ourselves. I am sure that Cameron will cope with all the difficulties that may come his way during the application process, because I raised him as a fighter.
So, that’s where we’re at with this whole high school thing. It’s a journey, that’s for sure. But we’re taking it one step at a time. Wish us luck!
