Okay, so I’ve been grinding away at MLB The Show 24, and like many of you, I got to a point where I wanted a change of scenery. I wanted to request a trade, move to a new team, and see if the grass was greener on the other side. But guess what? It’s not as simple as just hitting a “request trade” button.
So, first, I went digging through the menus in Road to The Show, thinking there’d be an option somewhere to ask for a trade. I mean, that would make sense, right? Nope. I explored all over, checked every corner, and nothing. It felt like I was going in circles.
Then I thought, maybe it’s tied to my performance. So I started playing my heart out, trying to boost my stats, hoping that maybe if I was good enough, I’d get the option to request a trade, or a team would want me bad enough. I was hitting homers, making amazing catches, the whole nine yards. I did make some achievements, but still, no trade option popped up. I mean seriously, even I played like a hall of famer, still no luck.
After that, I started messing with the settings. I went through the gameplay settings, the mode-specific settings, anything that looked like it might be related. I adjusted sliders, changed difficulties, but still, nothing about requesting a trade. It was like the game was just ignoring what I wanted.
Next, I started paying more attention to my agent’s calls. I figured maybe he was the key to this whole thing. I made sure to answer every call, listen to what he had to say, and follow any advice he gave. But most of the time, it was just general career stuff, nothing about trades. It felt like a dead end, but I kept at it, hoping something would change.
I even tried tanking a few games, thinking maybe if my performance dropped, they’d want to get rid of me. I struck out on purpose, made some intentional errors, but all that did was hurt my team and my player’s morale. It didn’t get me any closer to a trade, and I felt bad for letting my team down. What a terrible idea!
Finally, I realized that you can’t actually request a trade directly in MLB The Show 24. It’s all up to the team’s management and whether they decide it’s time for you to move on. It’s kind of a bummer, but it makes sense in a way. You’re not really in control of that part of your career. You have to wait it out, I guess.
So yeah, that’s my saga of trying to request a trade in MLB The Show 24. If any of you figure out a magic trick to make it happen, let me know. But as far as I can tell, you just gotta roll with the punches and see where your career takes you. Good luck and happy gaming!
