Okay, let’s talk about Roman Reigns. I was watching a bunch of his matches lately, just kinda went down a rabbit hole, you know? Started with his older stuff, back when he was part of The Shield with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose – those guys were awesome together, by the way.
Then I moved on to his solo career. Man, this guy’s journey is wild. So, I started digging, reading up on him, watching more matches. At first I knew he had a Tag Team Championship with Rollins once. The documentary about his battle with leukaemia, that was heavy. It’s crazy to think he was fighting that while being a top wrestler.
Anyway, I wanted to see how this whole “Head of the Table” persona came about. I noticed he gets the crowd going, you know? But it was really in those 2021, 2022 matches where he took it to another level. The way he moved, the way he talked, it was just different.
So I focused on those matches, watched them a few times, made some notes. I saw some old comments that some people don’t like that he sometimes gets help from other wrestlers during matches. But to be fair, he did that before when he was a good guy, too, right? So maybe it’s just part of his style.
Here’s what I think makes him great
- He’s a powerhouse. The guy is strong and fast. Watching him throw people around is impressive. He has a style that mixes power with some cool technical moves, I like that.
- He’s a natural. He’s part of a wrestling family, so I guess it’s in his blood. You can see he just gets it.
- He’s the “Tribal Chief.” This whole character he’s built, it’s compelling. You either love him or hate him, but you can’t ignore him.
I also found out he’s been called the greatest of all time by some other wrestlers. That’s a big deal, right? After watching a ton of his matches, I can see why people say that. I’m not sure I’d go that far yet, but he’s definitely up there. I also watched a documentary, it’s talking about his journey, he is a cool guy.
So yeah, that’s my deep dive into Roman Reigns. It was fun learning about him and seeing how he’s evolved. I’m definitely going to keep watching him, see where this whole “Head of the Table” thing goes.
